My studio has been my primary workspace for the last 30 years. It all started in a modest one-car garage, which, despite its simplicity and lack of equipment, was where I began to shape a creative and productive environment reflective of my personal ethos. Over the years, my journey has taken me through various cities, including Denver, San Francisco and Seattle, each studio marking a new chapter in my artistic development.
In Denver, Colorado, I set up my first official studio and co-founded a gallery and sculpture garden. My path then led me to Marin County in the Bay Area, where I worked from a studio situated at a small airport for five years. This period was instrumental in forging lasting connections with galleries and clients, relationships that I maintain to this day. My next move was to Seattle, where I established a studio on a vibrant street just outside downtown, featuring a display area that introduced my work to a broader audience. After 17 years in Seattle, building a network of private clients, architects, and builders in the Puget Sound area, I relocated to Olalla, WA. Here, a short ferry ride from Seattle, I've had the opportunity to design and construct my own studio on my property. Although I studied Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado, my artistic practice has largely evolved through self-led exploration and intuition.

Working across a diverse range of projects, from government public art programs to private commissions, has been immensely rewarding. I've collaborated closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and construction teams, adapting site-specific sculptures that integrate seamlessly into their intended environments. My use of computer design tools, compatible with industry standards, ensures effective communication from the concept phase right through to installation.
